Conduct Code

Singers must attend all concerts.  We are a performance choir.  Singers must demonstrate the highest respect for the conductors, other students, the orchestra, the audience, the stage managers and helpers, the property of others and the facility. The following guidelines are in place in order to help us achieve our goals.

Important communication will be done via email. Please check it often.

Regular class attendance is vital for well-trained musicians and high-quality performances. It is expected that singers will arrive 5 minutes prior to start times.  Repeated tardiness and non-attendance may result in dismissal.

Attendance at the final” Orchestra with Choirs combined” (dress) rehearsals and performances is expected. Non-attendance at a dress rehearsal will result in the singer being unable to perform in the concert.  If you think you will have difficulty attending all the performances, this might not be the choir for your family.

Procedures for excusing an absence are for the parent to email or text.

There are no refunds once registration has taken place as the student’s place cannot be filled.

Transportation and Pick-up Policy

Everyone is responsible for his/her own transportation.

Singers must be picked up promptly from class as classes are back to back and students may not stay in the rehearsal room when rehearsal is over.

Performance Dress

For performances, Children’s Choir singers will need black shoes, black socks or hose. Boys will need black dress pants and a white collared shirt and red bow tie. Girls will need a black skirt (reaching the knee) and a solid white blouse/top.

Youth Choir: Girls: a long black dress. Guys: Black pants and shoes, white buttoned collar and red bow tie.

Dress code for regular classes is casual and modest.
